I started coaching in 2004 with the University of Pittsburgh swim team and Team Pittsburgh Aquatics club team. After 3 years and an enlightening internship with the Pittsburgh Pirates, I finished my Masters degree in Exercise Physiology and moved on to work with elite swim teams in Dayton OH. During my time with the WTRC Sharks, Dayton Raiders, and Centerville Elks, I helped develop some of the fastest high school swimmers in the country while developing myself as a professional triathlete. In 2011, I moved to Richmond and focused on my triathlon racing full time. I had a small amount of success enough to consider racing a 'career' but never lost contact with my coaching passion. I connected with a few great athletes during my early years of racing and started to find my feet as an online coach. Having great athletes made me look good and I have been able to place athletes on the podium at local/regional/national races. I have also had mulitple World Championship qualifiers at the 70.3 and IM distance. Now I am retired from professional racing and dedicating my full attention to helping others reach their potential. I run a mid-day swim practice at SwimRVA and maintain a group of swimmers, runners, and triathlete all over the world.
I will be accepting a limited number of new athletes for 2019 as we move up to Toronto for the next two years. Click HERE if you are interested in learning more.
